- There was a show, 20/20 I think on the drug thing

The show went somewhere along the lines of if you child is problem is school they can in some stats actually force you drug you child with what ever the doctor figures would be right. The drug was ritlan(sp?). The real problem came if the parent refused then social services would step and remove the child to foster home where the drugs would administered.
One the search thing, in Canada we have a slighly tamer version of the US Patriot Act. So in Canada the police can search you with out warrant and with out telling you why you are being search if they get a security ticket issued by a court. It directly conflicts with out Charter of Rights in that you need to be told why. In the US you have similiar powers but they still need to authorized by a court. Not sure if your rights say you need to be informed of the reason for the search though.
Credit, well let me say that credit in general is getting out of hand. They give credit cards out to anyone these except to the people that can actually pay off the debt. Why is my a woman on welfare can get a credit card but a person with a perfectly clean credit history making $80,000 a year can't get a credit card with out securing it? Then the credit card companies wonder why people declare bankruptcy.
