Illustration of the problem
If only half the homes have a computer and half those have internet then doesn't that just illustrate the problem?

I can't imagine not having the internet. My kids would be a such a disadvantage to those that do have internet. The information available for learning on the net is just too valuable not to have. I'd think that is one major reason for government funding.

Others may disagree as I know people don't think government should even fund schools.

Funding I think should be directed at schools and libraries and let business expand on that if they want to provide in home connections.
