That's 5 people per sq. mile!
Just how long do you think it would be before we got fiber if the
Gov. were in charge? Given that we are last in state population,
care to guess where we'd rank?
Wyoming state gov. is actually considering a program to provide
incentives to ISP's to provide broadband to undeserved areas.
I'll admit, I'm biased. I work for the largest ISP (and WISP) in the
state as their RF Engineer. We've got customers in some remote
areas. In most places all it takes is 6 customers to break even in
1 year (or is it 2?).
As far as infrastructure goes, I'm torn on this issue. Seems that
we (citizens) all ready have subsidized huge portions of the
