SBC is already the new Ma Bell
Here I sit in the telecom backwater of Dallas Texas, waiting and waiting (5 years and counting) for SBC to provide DSL service to my house. They say it's too expensive to provide it, then spend billions and billions on mergers and takeovers, and 10's of millions on lawyers and lobbiest to make sure that no competition is allowed to provide it. I can't even get decent dial up service from them, my 33K modem never worked faster than 28K and 56 K modems won't connect or freeze up (I've tried several including two high quality name brands) and they have now idea why this happens (yea shure). I call them Stupid B?st?rds Communications and they are every bit as bad as the old Ma Bell
