Gee you're right!
Not as if every MP4 player uses the quicktime file format, or
that the upcoming HD-DVD standard also mandates this
file format.

Apple must really be hurting with AVC-H.264 being
incorporated in Quicktime 7 (available next Qtr) given it is
also mandated for both HD-DVD formats.

Lets also forget the 90% share of the portable media player
market since the release of the iPod Shuffle, and the 70% of
legal international music download business with iTunes.

Then again we should also discount Apples Darwin
Streaming server, Quicktime broadcaster, and non-liner
content production using iMovie and Final Cut. GarageBand
seems to have its followers as well. The best DVD creation
tools in the market should also be forgotten.

Apple's Airport Express wireless streaming of music must
also be a failure.

A press release from MS beats all of these;-)
