These so called 'internet' businesses are getting away with anything they can at the moment thanks to the Republicans. VoIP IS TELCO - if it look like a phone and works like a phone... then IT IS A PHONE. And these companies SHOULD FALL under the same regulations as any other TELCO.

Just like PayPal and companies like it should fall under the Banking regulations. PayPal is one of the biggest scams on the net. They HOLD your money LIKE A BANK. PAY your money out LIKE A BANK. Yet the customer IS NOT protected like a bank. Stay way from internet companies until the CONSUMER has rights and priviledges and is protected.
