We're talking about home users. I know hard. I'm a network manager and have had to deal with thousands of clients, servers, and various other devices spread all over the planet for many years.
I've recommended my home setup to some friends who know about as much about computers as Wile E. Coyote knows about catching road runners. One has already built a similar system without any assistance. The other is waiting on his new Mac Mini to arrive so he can do the same.
It's a different story for the numerous people who ask me to help them make something useful out of a pile of gear consisting of a Wintel computer, wireless router, and some iTunes wannabe software.
