RE: "So after 9 months what will happend?"
Actually Verizon is good about keeping prices low. They just recently lowered the unlimited toll and long distance calling plan form $60/month to just $45/month.

DSL throught Bell Atlantic started out at about $60/month back in 1995 and has steadly gone down to a mere $30/month of which most customers pay now. So if for about 9 months it's bumped up to $35/month they would probaly level it of to about $32/month after 9months just to be safe that new taxes aren't imposed.

And to be honest with you, Verizon is a utility and cable is not, so the government affects Verizon's pricing more then it does for cable companies. Don't forget, Verizon is government regulated as stated in the article.

By that i mean verizon has to share it's lines with other competitors where cable companies don't.

And if you measure the cost for DSL from $30-40/month cable is roughly between $50-60/month after their promotional rate of $30/month runs out after 6 months.

"""The fee will last for about nine months, until the new Internet Tax Nondiscrimination Act goes into effect in November."

-Will the price go back down after that 9 month period? Doubtfull...""
