Comcast raises broadband speed

It's fast enough.... a lower price is what's needed

Um, no... it still isn't justified.

These cable bozos don't get it. They act as if everyone is on the internet 12 hours a day and then downloading constantly while sleeping. They seem to think that speed is everything and price is not an issue.

Every time Comcast called me to sell their overpriced services, I tried as hard I could to explain that they simply charged too much. Their only response to that is, "Well yeah, but it's fast... and oh yeah, we just increased the speed".

I ask the guy, "How can someone like me who spends maybe an hour a day (max) on the internet getting my email and reading a few news sites justify $50 a month for internet access". His reply was, "Well.... it's just blazing fast". Hmmmmm, I say .

I have finally threatened to call the FCC if they call me back. It's like talking to the wall. They don't give a crap if you actually use the service, they just want the money.

If Comcast had any brains at all, they would offer a lower speed at a lower price (like $25/month). THAT would get me, and lot of others, interested. Of course, it has become painfully clear that they aren't going to listen. So, I'm just biding my time. DSL will be available in a year or so.
