- As I said before, SBC is cutting their own throats! They already have the land-line infrastructure PAID FOR, so they could drop their prices to compete with VoIP. If it costed you the same amount, then would you switch to VoIP? The fact of the matter is, my telephone bill has RARELY EVER gone below 3 digits - even when signed up for "economy" service. Charging EXTRA for voice mail and 3way calling and others is what is killing SBC - not some great new technology called VoIP. People that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it . . .
