Do you work for a phone company?

Actually, the current policy puts the consumer first, letting them get a service that is far more affordable than the over-priced and over-regulated traditional phone service.

First, Vonage does offer 911 service. I have Vonage, and have 911 available.

Second, does this mean that you support taxing the internet and the infrastructure? It's being coddled, protected from new taxes.

Last, are you saying that we should begin applying sales tax to on-line purchases? the only reason we don't currently apply sales tax to purchases done online is that decades ago it was seen as a burden for catalog sales to have to pay taxes in jurisdictions where they didn't have a physical presence. Current technology has eliminated that burden, yet the law has never been changed.
