Dude seriously, i administer aix, slackware( you know what that is right?) and windows boxes. I have been doing it for years. If windows was sooo insecure, then microsoft would have a hard time protecting their internal network. Since this article is about NETWORK security, well they dont make any networking devices. Linux on the otherhand is often present to some extent in firewall/router/switch appliance software. I get updates from our firewall vendor all the time because of bugs and flaws. They dont get the publicity that MS does because they are not big. Linux is not the main end user software, so its not big enough to get targetted YET. Yes, i agree its more secure out of the box.. however its not as compatible out of the box. This arguement could go on for days.. bottom line.. if someone wants to get in.. they will find a way.. its just a matter of how many locks you have on the door and how many entrances you have. That was a general analogy for a network.. btw.
