Here is a service that might make people think about tablet PCs
Tablet PCs make sense in two areas: mobile data entry and multimedia. The business world can find uses in both areas, but home users won't have much use for mobile data entry (I'm not saying NOBODY could have a need for mobile data entry, but the vast majority of people won't). Home users WOULD however go for mobile multimedia. Obviously you can already play DVDs on them, but if that's all you want, a mobile DVD player would be cheaper. But if you can get TV reception on it, and even get premium content like HBO or other cable channels, then that would give people a big reason to buy a tablet PC. So this could be that "critical application" to boost tablet PC sales.
