Carl, if you took the time to go over some of the evidence that is available, you would be asking the same questions. The official account of how the towers came down DEFIES SCIENCE. Therefore, naturally the burden of proof is on the federal government to prove to us how these buildings were able to defy laws of physics. If I told you I flew around the world in a half hour with some special plane, the burden of proof would be on me to show how I was able to do that, being that there is no technology out now that can do such thing. The towers took just 3 and 5 seconds more to fall down, barreling through tons of weight in resistance, than a human body free falling through the air. This makes NO SENSE! And this alone defies science, not even going into all the other defiance of physics (such as the towers' falling defying Galileo's law of falling bodies).
"That's the way courts have always worked (you know, the old 'innocent until proven guilty' Republican scam)."
Oh, you mean the court of law bin Laden was "convicted" in??? So when a person commits a crime here in the US you'd expect that they would be taken to court to be shown that they committed the crime. However, bin Laden was tried, convicted, and sentenced almost immediately and without judge, jury, or any independent oversight. And yet you have no problem with this. This man who supposedly committed the biggest crime on American soil and you have no interest in finding out if he did in fact commit this crime. See the hypocrisy? And you'd never trust the word of prosecutors if they said they were going to sentence someone and said they did not need to provide evidence. You would be rightfully outraged, and think it totally un-American, and against the basic principles of American justice. But when it comes to bin Laden, you automatically believed what the feds were telling you, even though they provided NO evidence (except two tapes that could be easily doctored). Why aren't you outraged that they have convicted this man without a trial??? Isn't this un-American? And more importantly, isn't this criminal, to convict someone without a trial? You'd surely think so if it were some American. But you don't even question it at all with respect to bin Laden. How can you be soooo sure that the US has the right man? What if they're wrong? How would it be proven to you? Think about it.. - Posted by: Jeff Spicoli Posted on: 12/16/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
