This will open Sprint's larger coverage area to Nextel users and allow users to roam where they couldn't before. Since Nextel was SMR not cellular, if you were off network, your phone was an expensive brick, no roaming at all. Now once the networks are combined, a few years in the future I imagine, all Nextel users will benefit.
