They will take over business and technically-savvy people
The merger b/w Sprint and Nextel may produce the most technologically advanced and most business-friendly wireless company out there. Nextel already caters to businesses and law-enforcement offices with their walkie-talkie style of communication. Mix that with Sprint's network coverage (finally those of us with Nextels will actually be able to make and receive REAL phone calls whenever we want to. I was smart, I chose Sprint) and you'll have nothing short of a wireless juggernaut. Those who didn't choose Nextel because of the clunky, almost primitive phones will switch over because merging with Sprint will automatically give them the best phone and accessory offerings from Samsung, PalmOne, Sanyo, LG, etc. Not to mention that Motorola's unquestionable expertise in the industry will come along with Nextel's baggage. If you're like me and you like to have the best technology in a phone, you'll choose Sprint Nextel as your wireless carrier. I'm definately renewing my contract when it's done just to see how well these two companies will work together. We probably can't expect to see any real improvement caused by the merger unti late 2006 (which is still better than the DaimlerChrysler merger, how long does it take to build a 300C?!), but I'll be right there in line to order the new features. Now about billing support...
