Voice over Wi-Fi IP is still VoIP
Does anyone there have a brain? Typical Voice over IP services use a wire because typical broadband services use wires. The fact that the connection is over ethernet, Wi-Fi, or fiber optic cable is irrelevant.

It's voice and it's carried on an IP network so it's VoIP.

Of far greater importance is the distinction of Voice over (public/internet) IP and Voice over a private IP network as used by many long distance and wireless providers.
