I am fortunate in this.
The WiMAx is being tested in a nearby town while the local (50 miles away) electric co-op is testing BOPL. The town was given a technology grant (rural development) while the co-op is using their own funds. You see, competition really is a good thing.

And yes, I do have a bit of an inside track as these folks often seek my opinion and support in their efforts. And just to help you a bit further, I also work with my local xDSL provider.

Sounds like you city folks need to get up and start doing some things for your self instead of whining all the time.
