Ignorance
"they'll still be there when you get out"
You obviously seem to not know much about children at all. (And if you do actually have them, I pity them.)
I'm so certain that my 3 year old would be just fine and dandy in a room she's never been in before, with a bunch of strangers surrounding her, doing things to her that she has no comprehension of. Wouldn't bother her at all. Having her parents (the ONLY people in the world that she can trust) there beside her holding her hand wouldn't help her at all.
Please... I have never read a more ridiculous statement than yous. You callousness has actually astounded me.
There is NOTHING more important to a child than their own security, which normally comes from the reassurance of their parent(s). It is recommended by Doctors and Psychologists that parents be with their children during circumstances like this for the very benefit of the child's health.

"isn't going to help their wounds heal up any faster"
Because there is only the *physical* side of a human. There are never any mental or emotional aspects to address.
Silly me. I guess next time one of them wakes up crying from a bad dream during a lightning and thunder storm (which frightens them), I'll just yell at them them to shut up and go to sleep since they're 'physically safe'.
(I take back the statement of pitying any offspring you might have produced. Instead, for their OWN GOOD, PLEASE give them up for adoption.)

"if you forget to turn your phone on vibrate"
You mean I HAVE ever set it to ring??? That's interesting... I distinctly remember my setting it to 'vibrate only' as being the 2nd thing I did with it when I first bought it. (The first thing was taking out of the box.) After that I have NEVER touched that setting.

P.S. - To most who have known my posts over the past years here; I apologize for the abnormally harsh attitude. I am usually not inclined to rants or insults. However, the absolute audacity and inanity of the previous post has set me off.
