this is a case of the 'some', that ruin for the 'others'.
So much for having the sitter call us with information that the kids are in the ER while we're out to a movie. Normally, my phone would vibrate (is mine the ONLY one with this feature?) and I would go out in the lobby to answer it.
And what of Text-Messaging??? That's not exactly noisy in a theater.

Point #2 - It's not the technology of The Cell Phone that needs to be banned. It's people with certain behavior. (ex: The person that talks very loudly throughout the ENTIRE movie; often at the movie itself.)
We do not limit vehicles to 65mph. We just stop people that drive over that.
