- I got a call from "Microsoft" a while back
-
that the caller said was actually from a prescription service that my husband signed up for. The caller wanted more info for his app, but said she wasn't allowed to say where she was calling from. I sure as heck didn't give her any info.
Area code & prefix were right for MS, but I wasn't able to get a reverse lookup. Emailed to MS and got a reply that that wasn't their phone number and pointing to a website with their numbers. We all know there are company numbers that aren't listed, so I didn't give much weight to the answer.
Maybe it was just a disgruntled employee making a fast buck on company time, or maybe it was a spoofed number. I'll always wonder. - Posted by: cactuswren Posted on: 08/30/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
