Who but a porn provider would complain about this?
Why in the world this would bother anyone, except someone who is interested in having access to every venue, I cannot fathom. Porn is, as someone recently said, in the west, "ambient".

Believe it or not, there are some folk who have satisfying sex lives, who are not interested in sitting around masturbating to pictures and videos, but actually engage with real people. And they are not interested in having other people's parts on display. I mean, what makes anyone think that someone needs or wants to look at their body? Are they that self-obsessed?

Porn can be found without any trouble. The only people who could conceivably complain about this are those who think you need to see what they want you to see. And who want to make money on it. This is not about stopping porn from being produced, or even distributed, it is about a place where I do not have to think about it. And I think any criticism of this action by the government is really just a $10-20 billion dollar a year industry, whining, that is, demanding access to every point of media that exists. And to some extent, they are probably afraid that many, many people would choose this provider rather than having to explain to your child why people want to have sex with animals etc. By all means, let parents parent. And that means, let them decide when they want to deal with the subject of porn and the sexual fantasies that people think others want to watch. Nobody would be forced to use this service/provider, and the FCC is not shutting off porn from the net, altogether. However, I think that they have heard enough complaining from the other side of this debate, people who are plain tired of having to deal with the sexual tastes and explicit acting out of the sexuality of others.

Let this go through, encourage it and I bet you will be surprised by the number of people who use this provider and drop those providers who are stuffed full of the sewage that the porn industry produces. Perhaps, just perhaps, porn will be, by the market, moved back to the ghetto where some of us think it belongs. The government is not stopping free speech, but really giving folk the opportunity to exercise their choices without having to spend more and more on filters, and malware protection which all too often is distributed through porn sites.
