RE: Verizon sues Time Warner Cable over advertising
Perhaps one should use the phrase cartel rather than monopoly. The inference then changes from a single corporate entity Hiking prices into multiple corporate entities illegally colluding to reduce competition and hike prices. Either way its all semantics and no one can argue. The big boys play rough games and we all pay for them to do it.

Verizon and TW can shuffle millions about between them and use lawyers and the courts as their personal playthings because they are the biggest bullies in a fenced in playground where they also own the supervisor.

Its Just like Big Oil, the stuff they get from Alaska doesn't cost $100 a barrel, No Arab is getting rich out of us up there, The drilling arm of BIGOILCO charge the refining arm of BIGOILCO the market rate plus a bit. Ever wondered why the companies that drill in Alaska charge the highest prices for their gas at the pump. Because they can and as a politician that owns millions of oil shares that just keep increasing in price would you want to stop them.

Its all done just to make it look like there is competition. There is none. They share the same damned poles for goodness sakes. We really have to stop falling for the same game over and over again.

Just because Joe tells you Bill is more expensive and worse than his company. Then Bill tells you the opposite doesn't mean either of them are any good (or that either of them are honest for that matter). And who do you remember when it comes to the time to choose, Joe or Bill, or Fred that sat quietly in the corner providing excellent service at half the price.

How easily we are all manipulated.
