Profit...BAD!
I'm sure that there may be someone, somewhere who has started up a company with the goals of hiring as many people as they can at the highest wages they can, to provide health care, dental, life insurance, and to operate at a break even mark...I just haven't met him or her yet. "Employing labor at the lowest possible cost to create maximum profit" is the goal of pretty much every company, AT&T or others. Businesses are formed to provide a good or service. Employees are a vehicle to provide those goods/services, not the other way around.
