While I agree that US corporations are being stupid by paying CEOs and other top echelon staffers WAY more than they are worth, this isn't about a U.S. Company. If you read the story and pay at least a tiny amount of attention, you'll notice that it clearly states the company is Canadian, the CEO is in Toronto, and the stock trades on a Canadian stock exchange.

Now, if you ignore that fact, your post still stands on it's own merit. U.S. companies ARE failing to provide jobs in the U.S. and compensate execs way too much. Seems like every other day I'm hearing about a U.S. company that is cutting another 20,000 jobs or something, their stock is in the tank, the product isn't selling well or is getting beat up in the market by better or cheaper products from overseas, yet execs are still raking in millions and millions of dollars.
