iPhone finds favor with business users

That's the model apple has chosen...: Complete control over all aspects. They don't allow any else to copy their hardware. If you control everything from O/S to applications to hardware - I would expect it to work together seamlessly.

I use Mac's and PC's. For different things. I like my Mac because all it's apps seamlessly work together. But I don't play games on it. I don't over-clock it. I don't try various hardware on it just to see how it works. --> because I can't. Not easily. Not casually.
