What does this have to do with illegal porn?
If I'm reading this correctly, the article talks about a 'digital fingerprint' that someone like Sony Pictures can embed in their legally owned, copyright protected content, one which the 'filter' can identify and deal with if such content is being transferred in the system. There's no way a creator of any sort of illegal pornography is going to embed or provide data on such a 'fingerprint' so the system can filter the illegitimate transfer of their product. (Though it would be nice if they were that stupid and lined up to be arrested.) Being an illegal product to begin with and outside the protection of copyrights, it has no rights to try to protect by using this 'fingerprint' recognition. (This is about copyrights protection, not 'cleaning up the internet', afais.) I don't understand the argument.
