- I will be here cheering on even more of Google's failures, android included. Google knows nothing of the mobile market and for them to try to jump in is silly. Their employees would rather play with toys in the office than do any research on this subject. Worst part is they are basing this on linux which is known to not perform well on PC's, much less mobile devices. There is no support for it, you have to code and compile everything yourself. Vendors would be silly to join this Google alliance. Users would be silly to buy anything from this alliance as long as Google is backing it. Users want their privacy, not being bombarded with ads and having their data harvested and sold back to them for a profit.
