The reason US productivity is up
You should care because the reason US labor productivity is reaching all time highs is because of mobile technology. Contrary to some dictators in the business place, Web 2.0 chatrooms and forums like this one have contributed to more and not less productivity while at work. This I believe is owing to the learning environment represented by this form of communication. Every business becomes a University when Web access is unrestricted. Fewer managers are necessary to pass on information and hence productivity goes up because more folks actually are doing something rather than planning, controlling, directing and constantly replacing staff. Do you disagree?
