False advertising, plain and simple
"Anyone who believes that they can get 8-10mbps for $20 a month is delusional."

"There is no way that Comcast or any other company is going to provide that level of service to all their customers 24/7 for $20 per month."

The problem is that this is EXACTLY what the ISPs are advertising. "Unlimited" is the most-frequently used word, at least until you read the fine print. When I got TWC a couple of years ago, they sent me a brocure that said UNLIMITED in 72-point type across the front. When you flipped the page, the very first sentence of the Terms of Service said "there are several limitations on the use of the Service provided by Time Warner." And this was printed in 8-point type ...

The ISPs have no one to blame but themselves for misleading people with FALSE advertising. If they had simply left off the "Unlimited" and stated the true limits being imposed on the user, they would be in the clear, and people would understand what they were getting for their money.

Is it so difficult to be honest with your customers in this day and age?
