Of course we never learn from history, that's the oldest story in the book. Those without eyes to see and ears to hear are 80-90% of every generation.

Whenever I hear "national security" I translate it to "gotta save my butt from hanging for treason" and the result makes more logical sense.

I am reminded of the letter I wrote my congressman a long while back, asking him to sponsor a restructuring of the federal reserve. He replied he wasn't interested because "it has served us well..."

I shot back "that depends on who "us" is. If he meant rich, unanswerable control freaks living on the backs of honest people, then I'd be inclined to agree...
