Movers and shakers in Congress ?
The citizens asked for movers and shakers in Congress during the last election, with the hopes that something would be done about the Imperial President's disregard for the Constitution.

What we got was a bunch of people who move their bowels and shake in their boots any time Bush speaks. The Democrats (and I voted for them) have been outright afraid to force a head-on confrontation with the President over the war, government spending, spying, torture, or corruption. They complain about not having enough votes to override a veto, but the simple fact is that they can shut down almost any government activity they want by simply cutting off the funding.

But as much as the Democrats in Congress are "investigating" government abuses, it may all be a smokescreen. Come next November when Hilary gets elected, they would like to see such powers available to a Democratic President, to be abused for *her* purposes ...

All of this nonsense has me convinced that Ron Paul has the right idea, and that the current government is completely out of control. But he is still fighting a monumental battle, not against the Republicans and Democrats, but against plain old human stupidity and voter apathy.
