- Oh Sun Novel Real becareful what you asked for you got it
-
Judge Jackass was the start then Europe Korea the definition of monopoly has been so squired that any successful company, person, service can and will be defined as Monopoly Oligopoly, The end yes the end of the computer industry the Aristocracy has found the tool to retake it's power, and right at the moment when knowledge was going to become free.... Oh Scot, Oh Jerry, Oh IBM in this new world that you had defined in European Courts you to will be made low. Learn how bow to the bureaucrats, like the medical industry does, or science.
Corporate responsibility to the community yes but now it is corporate responsibly to the political bureaucracy. Perhaps this is all just natural for the likes of you, a company that help make the inventorying of death camps work, or an individual that is over awed by the samurai culture of fascist dictatorship, and well Scott from the South.
And where does it start, hardware of course, remember the line ?there is no money in software? Funny how the profit from software has and is funding the new tax arm of the European Common Union. Not that I believe that it is necessary for copy write, patent law, intellectual property rights at all. I know that they where only created to A. To protect the publics Access to knowledge (The only reason the Scottish Judge intended to protect), B. Allow those who have inherited their power to keep it and C. Keep the law profession in gold and mire.
A tax on the future to stop or slow its evolution that is what all those little arguments are all about. But if you are good you do not need to restrict your competition for making the same thing, McDonalds does not stop Wendy from making hamburgers they just work harder at making a better hamburger. They also do not stop them from adding muster, ketchup, pickles or Special Sauce either! (Media Player, Server Protocols give me a f@#$#@#$ break) Now I know that there are those that would, if there was not some boundaries clearly defined, start opening up McDonalds restaurants even if they where not part of the corporate chain or not. I am thinking here how Chinese people open Japanese restaurants dress like Japanese people, talk like Japanese, to reinforce the idea that they are a Japanese family restaurant. I then Chuckle for the Mexican dude that works in the Chinese family?s other restaurant ?Wong Wei authentic Family Restaurant? When he asks to become a waiter they say ?You not Chinese how you could it be Authentic if You were a waiter here? Look see name Authentic Chinese you not Chinese?.
Ah the days to look forward to. Government exams to ensure that you are a programmer, then government legislation to ensure that only government certified programmers touch computer systems. Then a professional Bureaucracy to handle the day to day needs of another professional body. Codes of conduct, rules and regulations rules such like this one, No hardware will be certified unless it is built by community owned organizations, or only software that will be allowed to be used is that which is freely available for alteration or redistribution. Nothing wrong with those goals but the fact that it takes away choice and freedom, all in the name of giving more choice and freedom. I love IBM?s comment on Linux, we know less than 5% to 10% of what it is doing but if you pay us we can find out as much as you want. One I think he meant GNU but obviously does not understand the idea of a kernel and everything else. Typical IBM er, we do it all, eventually.
So you asked for it you got it. IBM 20 years under investigation for being a monopoly nothing proven and eventually everything was dropped. Well I wonder how strong those old war day relationships are. At what point will they will find themselves being drawn up on those old charges in a European Union Anti-competitive Court
where they too will have to hand over money, knowledge and have a public tar and feathering, to a market that has effectively screwed the pooch on research and development and now wants a free pass to the developed world. It takes a lot of programming know how to get those flight systems working, or to have your AutoCAD wiring diagram readable for the installers in the hangar.
Um IBM let see, sold Lavanio to the Chinese, Pay for the Kernel Development for GNU but do not embrace GPL3, Start funding Certification programs at Universities.... Yes I think it is going to be a lot harder to nail them but the list of those whom the IBM family believe have done them wrong, well that is a very long list indeed. PS 57% of Novell owned by IBM either via direct share purchase, shells, or development loans.
Oh this goes so deep my little friends, the rabbit hole is, well, mind blowing. - Posted by: Homer111 Posted on: 10/01/07 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
