ads

pop up ads? but how about ads that intercept pages, reading some of the news briefs on various sites (yahoo like) have irritating ads, open the brief, works fine, go to page two, that's fine, then when going to page three you get a full screen ad with a tiny little 'click here to continue to next page' hidden somewhere around the upper/lower edge.

too much advertising turns me off to the product being advertised, and when the ads get too annoying I completely stop using their products

and frankly 50% off on starbucks coffee is still too much, don't know if it's just the shops I've been to, (only about 20 best guess) but it always tastes burnt, and I drink some pretty heavy coffee! It's very over rated as far as coffee goes..
