I don't know the current technology very well, but I did a little testing. I can't connect to my phone unless I've already added that device. I searched for devices here at work and found someone's phone, but couldn't pair with it because the owner didn't permit it. I tried to discover my phone with another device, but it didn't show up because the phone wasn't in discovery mode.
