On your lawn?
On your lawn is trespass, and should be wrong.

Watching your TV through the window hurts nobody (as long as they're not watching you - then I can see that being annoying.) If the light from your TV radiates outside the boundaries of your property then how can you stop people from seeing it? "Hey you! That's my security light! Stop using the light! Stop looking at the light!"

Let's take this scenario, because it's the ONLY analogy I can think of that actually fits this situation;

You search for "ZDNet" on Google. Surprisingly, ZDNet.com comes up first. You click that link and the website is displayed. Are you breaking the law by accessing that website? Under UK law, technically yes. You have received NO permission to hit that site and you shouldn't be using it. That is the same with WI-FI. There is no password protection on the "victim"'s WIFI, just as there isn't on the ZDNet homepage so a user could be left to assume permission. Under UK law, this is illegal.

The UK law is absolutely absurd, in my opinion.
