Where you are dead wrong
Building out new technology (massive captial investent) for a FOR PROFIT business is done to increase revenue. That is true of any business. WHat we have here is the governemtn mandating the change without the TV broacsters seeing so much as a dime for all the investment. The number of TV viewers is not going to change.

As to Google, I said it once and i'll say it again. Google is a public held company responsible to the stockholders and they MUST monetise any investment they make. They will do what ever is required to turn it into dollars and anyone that can't see that is a fool.
