What in the world are you ranting about?
TV stations used this freq. because that was what they were TOLD to do and are regulated to do by the FCC. As to moving, its not like they just change freq.s, they must replace everything from one end to the other for nothing. I say nothing because when its all said and done, they aren't making so much as a penny for having done it, their viewer numbers will remain the same.

What we see here is that the government after years of arguing over which tech to use finally decided to go digital and FORCE all the TV broadcasters to spend billions of dollars and get ZERO in return for it. Not only that, the extremely valuable freq.s are being taken away so the gov. can re-sell it and pocket the bucks.

As for Google, PFttt... they have their own plans to monetize anything they buy and it won't matter a damn bit if it serves the public good. If you believe that Google is any different than every corp in existance you are living in a dream world.
