why don't they just build the real GPS unit into the phone and allow simultaniose access the satelite and AGPS data.
I have a bluetooth GPS with MTECK chipset that cold boot in about a minute and warmboot in 30-35 sec. now that is progress.

it should be even easier with cellphones.
first of all the phone is always on so it can pinpoint it's position fast if it would check the sats periodicaly(to save power) and log the network antena data on access.

WOW from start to finish in 10 sec.
