They're just not that into you...
We had Sprint before the merger and liked the service, but there again we did have 'challenges' with their billing department. We switched to what later became Verizon because we moved and Sprint's coverage at the new location was not very good. We've had some issues with Verizon on billing, but mainly has been on the 'smartphone' challenges with Mobile Windoze phones. After replacing the phones for the fourth time they've let me replaced with a Palm based unit (my challenge is that I can't have a camera in my smartphone due to my job). I'm happy now, and would like to call Verizon to tell them that, but what if that would the the 'call that broke the camel's back' happy
