On the other hand...
...we know how vocal Apple fan(atic)s are: If they have problems with their iPhone experience, they will scream to high heaven (i.e., to Steve Jobs), and there is no question that right now, he has a helluva lot of pull with AT&T. For proof, look at how the plans were designed to Apple's specs; the out-of-box experience is not something that takes place in the AT&T store.

So, I would argue that Jobs does have the power to make AT&T's iPhone service better.

The more interesting question will be when people actually start to use the iPhone: Will we find out that the emperor really has some nasty holes in his new clothes?
