iPhone can suck it

First of all, this was a great article! One of the best tech articles I've read in a while.
Anyway...
Personally if iPhone were 3G then I would probably be considering it. Right now, 2
things keep me from buying into iPhone: No 3G, and no Verizon. I rely on my
phone. I don't think I want an iPhone badly enough to ditch Verizon's network,
which is solid as a rock (and has 3G service all over the place). My Treo will have to
do, and that's not such a bad gig.
I think once the cool factor wears off people are going to look at the iPhone and
say "Hmm...it's really just a phone after all". Right now the cool factor is very high,
with that slammin touch screen and sexy graphic interface and all. But as tech-
crazy as I am, I can't see myself browsing the web on my mobile, except for quick
references of things. And I can't see wearing down my phone's battery by watching
movies or TV shows on it. So if I had an iPhone, I see myself using it strictly as a
phone after I get bored with its initial sexiness. And so what's the point??
But that's just me.
