They're all crap...
iPods only went big because they are an apple product, there was so much hype about it, and celebrities bought the damn things which made them the "thing" to have. You said they had greater storage capacity than other DMPs, but that's not true. Creative and iRiver make very comparable mp3/media players that are much better/cheaper than iPods. As far as the iPhone goes, you'd have to be an idiot to get one. Batteries are the first thing to go in an iPod and I doubt the iPhone will be no different. Good luck getting apple to replace the battery when it dies in a year or so. Just get a PDA / smartphone cell phone. There are plenty out there that are better than the iPhone.

Oh..and I'm not a Mac hater. My first system was a mac. If they'd stop pricing their products like they are made of gold, then i might consider getting another.
