It's not about the phone, it's about the service to many.

Verizon has the lowest churn rate, ATT and Cingular have the highest (even before the merger).

Verizon was Apple first choice, and they deceided against it, but then again, they are in the business and are very, very good at what they do. Cingular needed someting to stop the bleed and it was Apple.

Long term Verizon is correct, they need no iPhone killer.
