TV bandwidth obsoletes Wi-Fi
Again, because the message just isn't getting through, in the USA the bandwidth that is being freed up when the USA goes to Hi-Def TV can be used for Wi-Max. That bandwidth goes through walls. So any small town or city or building that currently gets TV reception using rabbit ears can get Wi-Max.

We look to our federal government to stop consumer rip offs. This is a clear case of that. Wi-Fi installations for Internet Access must stop and plans for Wi-Max - IE designating the TV airwaves that go through walls for GPS and Wi-Max made instead.

There is a purpose for Wi-Fi in eliminating wires for printers, mice and monitors but it never should have been used for Internet access. Infrared technology is also available. Please someone make a business case for Wi-Fi for Internet access in the USA. At best it is a place holder. Perhaps there are some rooms in some prison buildings where bounded media can not be run to routers for Internet access. But in really Wi-Fi is making America week by forestalling the Wi-Max technology that already benefits the EU and China economies. US consumers are being ripped off to the benefit of robber barrens who if they do not already live in Europe aspire to. Those of us who wish to continue living in the USA want more. We want a plan to use the TV bandwidth that belongs to us and has been our birth right.
