My first reaction is "here we go again". One of the "normal" people coming up with some idea without considering the millions of people who are not normal in the same way.
Also the stats are a little askew. The 1 in 12 number (which translates to approximately 7 percent) only relates to one specific for of colorblindess and relates only to the male population (possible because females suffer in numbers in the area of 0.4 percent). The number of all types is nearly double the figure. In the US alone, the 7 percent translates into approximately 12 million people.
So even before this "alphabet" would be implemented, it already has more than 10 million people who can't use it accurately.
Sounds like somebody needs to go back to the drawing board -- and this time use charcoal instead of crayons. - Posted by: butlerwm Posted on: 05/30/07 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
