IT_Guy_z, you are assuming that the jury didn't err in concluding that the patents were infringed.

It'll be interesting to see if there is an error that will nullify the jury's findings.

I'm a big believer in the free market and in patents and copyright.

I'm also aware that lawsuits are often filed in the corporate world, not to protect a legitimate claim, but to kill a competitor. Juries and judges are, often enough, taken in by specious proof in a highly technical field.

With the limited information I've seen on this matter, I can't conclude much of anything.

What I THINK, howeer, is that VoIP should be a part of DSL purchase, or that DSL should be included with phone service. Paying for DSL AND phone, I feel like I'm getting "double dipped."
