Utterly stupid
The whole idea behind long range WiMAX is that the network is a MESH - so your computer becomes just another node. IOW the networking algorithms make sure that your computer "node" fits into the MESH. WiFi is point-to-point meaning that you are stuck with one "tower". There is no switch between towers like a cell phone, you just lose your connection.
