Intel modifies Wi-Fi to add mileage

This is news?: Basicly, they took standard wifi, added a high gain beam steerable antenna, dropped
some un-needed protocals for a point to point link, and somehow still call it wifi.

Nothing that cannot be done with todays off the shelf technology. Heck, I could do
