What are you talking about? You're joking
I sold Verizon part time for the chain I worked at years ago. The people who are stil there tell me that noe that they have switched providers (Verizon to Cingular) Their phone sales have dropped drasticly.

Verizon is geared to to take over number one spot in 2007Q3 per industry estimates. The numbers show me that Verizon is getting more sign-ups then Cingular

No, I beg to differ. It would appear after reading the article that Apple may have thought #2 Verizon would sign any deal they thought would help them take the #1 spot again.

In turn it looks as though Cingular was the one desparate enough to sign the deal.

Remember: Apple needs Cingular more then Cingular needs Apple.

And I guess Verizon need no one but themselves to take the # 1 spot again.
